Went down to Shibuya and Ginza last night. Absolutely nothing was happening. Even Tokyo shuts down on a Sunday night.
So I move to my new accommodation today: it’s in Uguisudani, not far from Ueno Station. Here’s the page on where I’m staying. I’m in 402-02.
Got an email from a friend of my dad, suggesting that I could write for one of the English newspapers in Japan. Which, if true, would be great: I could work from home, so to speak, get some skills and experience, and fund myself more easily.
At the moment my only concern is money: I’m estimating that I’ll spend 130,000-150,000 yen a month, but it may be difficult to actually earn that much. But I’m sure there’s a way.
