“Stocking up on a few classics, eh?” asked the young cashier at Borders. “Yup,” said I. I have bought: The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemmingway, Voltaire’s Candide, Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five, Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, Dick’s Valis, Card’s Ender’s Game, Satrapi’s Persepolis, Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, and three volumes of Ellis’s Transmetropolitan from an authentically New York-feeling comic books store. In addition, I picked up a new DS Lite and a cheap second-hand copy of Guitar Hero DS, and the pièce de résistance, a PNY Geforce 9800 GTX XLR8 OC Performance Edition for $330 (albeit $100 more than Newegg, but yet still a better deal than any UK stores, including eBuyer). I disapprove of shopping sprees as much as anyone, but when you’re getting a bargain on every purchase it’s difficult to hold back.
1) Take advantage of strong pound 2) ??? 3) Profit

Yo yo, I h33r (read) you’re going home soon, so I guess we shall not be in the same place at the same time, as we’re still in Canada, and don’t make it to Kenturky until next week. I tried to do some shopping in New York, but the computer shops there didn’t really seem any good, just like PC world, where did you end up going? I was planning on looking for a nice camera, a DSLR of sorts, but then I thought perhaps it should go for a custom firmwareable Canon. I see what you meant about New York, it’s certainly a strange place… Have a good journey!
